I’m thrilled to let you know that Melinda and I have sold Weinstein PR, Oregon’s leading boutique public relations and branding agency, to one of our consultants and a fantastic local PR veteran, Molly Ishkanian.
Molly is among the most talented PR professionals I have ever met. She is incredibly smart, agile and creative, and has a brilliant future ahead of her as a rising leader in our industry. She is the former PR director of RWest and owner of Noteworthy PR, and has worked with Weinstein PR for the past two years with prestigious clients, including Intel, Providence National Foundation, ORM Fertility, Facebook, Miller Paint, World Athletics Championships Oregon22, Additional Ventures, LaCrosse Footwear, Higgins Restaurant, Moss Adams, Pacific Retirement Services, the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at the University of Oregon, and Mercato Grove.
I will continue to be involved as founder and senior consultant after Molly takes the helm this August, working with existing and future clients, and providing strategic advice and counsel. In addition, I am serving on two boards of directors and will remain the president of Intentional Life Planning, LLC, teaching and promoting my book, Write, Open, Act: An Intentional Life Planning Workbook.
I want to thank our talented team of consultants for their incredible work, which will continue under Molly’s ownership.
Thank you for your continued support!
Very best,
Lee Weinstein
President & CEO, Weinstein PR
I am thrilled at the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Weinstein PR-and what a legacy it is.
Lee built this business from the ground up, accomplishing everything from launching Facebook’s data centers supported by renewable energy across the U.S., to rebranding the Portland Development Commission as Prosper Portland, to launching the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Reputation is something that must be earned, and his legacy extends across the state and beyond.
With that, here’s a little more about me. I cut my teeth in PR around 15 years ago with a small boutique agency in Seattle, and eventually as a PR coordinator at Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah. From there, I moved to Portland and spent a little more than 10 years with RWest, an integrated marketing agency with offices in Portland, New York and San Francisco, serving as director of PR leading strategy and planning for clients. Along the way I’ve had a few passion projects, including serving as an adjunct instructor in public relations at the Art Institute of Portland and as a marketing board member for SMART Reading. For the last two years, I’ve worked as an independent consultant with Weinstein PR, and also with my own consultancy, Noteworthy PR.
I live in Southeast Portland with my husband, Jared, and our two sons, ages 5 and 3. On weekends you can find us bribing them with M&M’s on the ski hills and mountain bike trails of the Pacific Northwest.
If the last year has taught us anything, it is the power of community and how the actions of individuals and brands can have a lasting impact. I look forward to continuing to help our clients tell their stories far and wide. Please let me know how we can be of service to you. Weinstein PR offers a wide range of communications services to help our clients share their best stories.
Kind regards,
Molly Ishkanian
