15 Years in the Making

We’ve been reflecting a lot on the ebb and flow of time as Weinstein PR approaches a major milestone this month: 15 years in business. Over this span, we’ve partnered with hundreds of clients to help them craft their stories, share their successes and grow into organizations shaping our world. Thank you for your continued trust in us.

Lee and Melinda created WPR with people who wanted to make the world a better place through storytelling. Many of those original associates remain, pursuing personal passions ranging from mountain biking and hiking to youth mentorship and volunteerism. We bring ourselves fully to work, and to life, and that is a big part of the magic that is WPR.

2007

Launched icebreaker’s first U.S. store in Portland. The New Zealand brand has grown into a worldwide industry leader in sustainability, and Portland remains one of two signature American Touch Lab retail locations.

2010

Led the team that helped Meta break ground on its first owned and operated data center in Prineville, Ore. Meta’s presence has helped revitalize a town that once had Oregon’s highest unemployment rate through construction, employment,  community investments and partnerships.

2013

Readied Imperial Stock Ranch, based in Maupin, Ore., for the welcome media onslaught as a result of an Olympic sweater collaboration with Ralph Lauren. Owner Jeanne Carver went on to win a Business Journal Orchid Award, recognizing her as a Woman of Influence in Oregon.

2016

Partnered with NIKE to launch BIKETOWN, Portland’s first bike-sharing program. BIKETOWN now includes e-bikes and empowers Portlanders to embrace healthy, low-carbon and fun transportation.

2019

Conceived of and created ORM Fertility’s Love is Family campaign, an initiative serving the specific needs of LGBTQ+ prospective parents. This elevated commitment to the LGBTQ+ community included a dedicated website, branding and targeted marketing efforts.

2020

Cultivated media and influencers to attend the World Athletics Championships kickoff at the University of Oregon. This competition featured awe-inspiring performances from 2,000 athletes representing 200 nations at Eugene’s reimagined Hayward Field, with attendance exceeding 146,000.

2022

De La Salle North Catholic High School, Oregon’s most diverse private high school, opened the doors to its new campus at St. Charles Parish in Northeast Portland. Our team helped bring awareness to the new school’s $26 million capital campaign, including state-of-the-art science labs, a visual arts center and room to serve up to 350 students.

Hungry for even more?!? Be sure to follow us on social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), where we’ll be rolling out our teams’ favorite WPR and non-WPR stories and photos.

To everyone who has been a part of our 15-year journey, and especially to our founders, thank you for helping to create and support a model that continues to stand the test of time.
