De La Salle North Catholic High School (DLSNC), the most diverse private high school in all of Oregon, creates pathways for underserved students in Portland, and currently serves 280 students.
The school is relocating and building a permanent home at its new location at St. Charles Parish at 5310 NE 42nd Avenue in Northeast Portland. The new campus will accommodate more than 350 students, ensuring the school’s unique and transformative education will impact a growing number of students’ lives long into the future.
DLSNC offers a distinctive combination of college-preparatory education paired with a Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), where students work one day a week at professional work sites, offsetting 50% of the cost of their education. By the time they graduate, each student has the equivalent of one full year of real-world work experience. One-hundred percent of its 2019 graduating class was accepted into college!
Two amazing graduates, Enat Arega (Class of 2014) and Diana Rivas Garcia (Class of 2015), both of whom did the CWSP, were featured by The Skanner News in June 2020. Enat is headed to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, having earned a Master of Science in Quantitative Epidemiology from Dartmouth. Diana just became a Fulbright Scholar.
