What a year! Looking back on 2024, we can’t help but smile at the incredible stories that have helped shape our community. From keeping baseball alive in Hillsboro to reimagining emergency and cardiac care across Portland, these Weinstein PR projects reaffirmed that communications has the transformative power to bring people together, spark change and make our communities stronger.

Enjoy this collection of stories that show not just what we do, but why we do it.

Keeping Baseball in Hillsboro

Hillsboro Baseball Player, Young Fan and Mascot pose for camera.

When the Hillsboro Hops needed to secure their long-term future, our team stepped up to bat. Through strategic messaging and community engagement, we helped unite government funding, private investment and public support to build a new ballpark. The result? A fully funded stadium project that keeps the Hops in Washington County, ensuring family-friendly entertainment for generations to come. Read more about our work with the Hops.

Launching Providence Foundations of Oregon’s Biggest Campaign Ever

$177 million doesn’t just happen overnight. Our team helped Providence Foundations of Oregon launch their largest-ever capital campaign to reimagine emergency and cardiac care across Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Center. In partnership with Providence’s in-house communications team, we earned an embargoed breaking news story in the Portland Business Journal and coverage on three TV stations, building momentum for this transformative health care initiative.

Doernbecher Freestyle’s 20th Anniversary

We had the honor of leading video production for the 20th anniversary of the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s Doernbecher Freestyle program. Our team captured the inspiring stories of young patient-designers who worked alongside Nike’s creative teams to design limited-edition footwear and apparel. Each design tells a story, and with more than $40 million raised, countless kids can now rest easier, in the best of hands, embracing hope and keeping their sights on the future.

 Literary Arts’ Grand Opening

Literary Arts new HQ

What happens when the largest literary center in the Western United States opens its doors? We celebrate! WPR helped Literary Arts debut its new Susan Hammer Center in Portland’s Central Eastside, complete with a new independent bookstore, café, event space, classrooms and podcast studio—creating a vibrant new hub for Portland’s literary community. Coming on the heels of inspiring author conversations with Ta-Nehisi Coates, Richard Powers and Malcolm Gladwell, just to name a few, it’s been quite the first year of partnership for WPR and Literary Arts!

Above all, we’re grateful for our clients who trust us with their stories – there’s no greater honor. Here’s to the narratives we’ve shaped together and the new chapters awaiting us in 2025!
