Lee Weinstein (President)
Having experienced great PR results working with boutique PR agencies while directing communications for NIKE, Inc., Lee decided to start Weinstein PR in 2007.
Lee is one of Oregon’s most experienced and creative public relations professionals in global brand PR; employee, political and education communications; public affairs; and issues and crisis management.
A sixth-generation Native Oregonian, Lee has a unique take on the importance of transparent, forward-thinking communications, having worked in the political arena for Oregon Congressman Ron Wyden, Insurance Commissioner Ted Kulongoski, and as Deputy Press Secretary to Governor Neil Goldschmidt. He has also directed nonprofit communications and marketing for Project Open Hand, the Bay Area’s largest AIDS nonprofit.
A resident of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Lee is a member of The Dalles Area and Hood River County Chambers of Commerce, and served on the Board of Trustees of Maryhill Museum of Art from 2007-2016 and the Oregon Cultural Trust from 2010-2015. He is a cofounder of the Columbia Gorge Arts & Culture Alliance and Our Children’s Store, a seasonal nonprofit gift shop that raised more than $1.5 million for children in crisis in Portland, Oregon. Lee is currently president of PR Boutiques International™, an international network of independent public relations firms.
Julie Beals (Copywriter, Project Manager) writes websites, newsletters, ads and brochures with gusto. Compelling narratives crafted in the distinct voice of each client are her specialty. Her experience spans journalism, copywriting, editing and content strategy.
Becky Brun (Communications Associate) is a former journalist and magazine editor with 15 years of experience helping mission-driven businesses tell their stories and leverage their brands. An excellent project manager with a diverse skill set, Becky is passionate about bringing important stories to target audiences through public relations, marketing and social media campaigns.
Leslie Carlson (Communications Associate) has worked in marketing and communications for 25 years as a director and consultant. Her expertise includes sustainable business marketing, public affairs and issue management. Leslie has guided clients through good and tough times with the knowledge that transparency and clear communication are keys to success.
Chris Crabb (Communications Associate) has spent 20 years creating buzz with public relations and special events that put smiles on clients’ faces. She is passionate about communications and has worked with a number of high-profile Northwest companies.
DiDi Davidovich (Design Associate) does website design, logo and identity creation, and print collateral for all types of industries. An artist at heart, DiDi comes up with some of the coolest designs we’ve seen for companies small and large.
Kate Bailey French (Brand and Marketing Associate) has nearly 20 years of branding and storytelling experience on both the agency and client side, giving her unique perspective on how consultants and organizations can best work together. Among her roles: VP of Marketing for an international consumer brand (from launch to growth), and managing agency accounts for brands, nonprofits, and government clients.
Darcy Hagin (Project Assistant) has a background that spans social work, office management and retail training. She does meticulous research, creates outstanding reports and is an absolute pro at organizing projects.
Ezra Hockman (Web Developer) has a highly practical, rational approach to web programming that results in solid structure under web designs. As icing on the cake, he gives clients the freedom to do much or all of their own website updates with highly user-friendly content-management systems.
Amy Hunter (Communications Associate) is a 15-year publicity and marketing veteran who puts clients at ease with her personable approach and serious know-how. She creates successful public relations campaigns around company news and product launches, garnering local and national publicity in all forms of media.
Allison McGillivray (Communications Associate) has spent nearly two decades immersed in the ever-evolving world of natural grocery, sustainable food systems and farm-to-table restaurants. She specializes in wordsmithing, gut-checking and preserving the customer experience. Ali is passionate about strategic planning, customer perception, and thorough, accurate, compassionate communication.
Dawn Myrah (Communications Associate) is a 15-year communications veteran, and has represented some of the top companies in the world. Her expertise lies in public relations, marketing and event management, with a strong focus on broadcast strategy and implementation.
Maggie Palmer (Communications Associate) has worked in communications for over 10 years, in public relations, marketing, social media, copywriting, SEO/SEM for Internet marketing, and community relations. She tackles every project with grace, finesse and a whole lot of technical know-how.

Anna Richter Taylor (Public Affairs Associate) specializes in communication strategy, public affairs, media relations, crisis communications and public policy. Anna started her career in the Clinton Administration, and honed her skills as a Senior Advisor and Communications Director for Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski. Anna tackles complex issues to help clients identify clear objectives and strategies, and to deliver results.
Deborah Tomecek Pleva (Communications Associate) is known for her ability to think strategically while meticulously managing the minutia. She’s a star at public relations, marketing, event management, copywriting and community relations, and has a keen instinct for properly positioning organizations and products in the media.
Mark Timby (Design Associate) develops stunning visual concepts for an array of clients. His broad spectrum of graphic-design talent includes brand plans and style guides, identity design, product packaging, apparel graphic design, annual reports and more.
Dennis Vieira (Web Developer) has a highly practical, rational approach to web programming that results in solid structure under web designs. He is a gifted problem solver and highly responsive to client needs.
Jeanette Vieira (Web & Graphic Designer + Illustrator), somewhere between her carny dad and the Elvis shrine her mom built, became fascinated by neon lights and wanderlust. Graphic design was in her cards, so after college she began her career as a graphic designer with companies like Corbis Images and Gateway Computers. For Weinstein PR, Jeanette has designed graphics for Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, produced a brand identity and website design for Oregon Reproductive Medicine, and produced website design for Key Development.
Laurie Walker (Communications Project Manager) is a master of strategic communications, event creation and management, and employee engagement. She manages (and remembers!) details with ease, and helps clients create energetic, interactive communications campaigns, newsletters, website content and printed collateral.
Melinda Weinstein (Vice President) is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. She has more than 26 years of experience managing a slew of details, including working as the assistant to the CEO of Nike. She manages contracts and accounting for Weinstein PR and works on special projects.
