We were joyous when Adler’s team asked us to help the iconic potter, designer, author and TV personality open his new store in Portland’s tres cool Pearl District.
We kicked into high gear, targeting key lifestyle, shopping and neighborhood media. We also had a Weinstein PR email scheduled to go out that month to 4,000 Portland influencers, who were thrilled with the news and started the buzz. Initial coverage included Portland Monthly At Home, Explore the Pearl, NW Examiner and luxelifedaily.com. We also introduced the Adler team to the Pearl District Business Association and recommended joining.
In December, we helped the store with a book-signing appearance by Jonathan (what a great guy!), suggesting a charity beneficiary, the Museum of Contemporary Craft at PNCA (one of our clients), and a host committee including VIP artists, media personalities, designers and business leaders. We also connected them with a great caterer and invited all our friends.
The party was a smash. Blogger Byron Beck wrote, “Jonathan told me he LOVES Portland for its ‘groovy vibe’ and is a big fan of all things Portlandia, so it was very cool to be able to introduce him to Portlandia’s own Bill Oakley, one of the main engines for that incredible show, and his wife, Rachel Pulido.”
