Student Savings Accounts

Parents of three mid-valley students were selected to receive a $1,000 savings account as part of the “Think Big, Save For College” summer reading program their children participated in at Oregon libraries over the summer.

In all, 13 students were selected by a random drawing from among 4,525 children and teens who entered the Oregon College Savings Plan program at public libraries. Awards are granted to the parents to start saving for college.

The accounts are through the Oregon College Savings Plan, which partnered with the Oregon State Library and the Oregon Library Association to run the event.
